Sure, Whitford, Maine, is a lot different from Richmond, Virginia - but Clark and Leland aren't expecting anything more than a new school and some weird small-town people. Unfortunately, they're going to get a hell of a lot more than that.

Midterms week
Hey guys, I have a lot to get done this week assuming I don't want to fail my classes, so the pages will have to wait until Friday or Saturday. Don't worry, though! They will definitely be up this week.

Making progress
We're about halfway through chapter two, since this chapter is only 20 pages. One and two are probably the shortest of the lot!
Plot is progressing as it needs to though. Should be done with chapter two by September 24, if not sooner. Depends on how school goes and if I have enough time to go to two pages a week. If I do go to two pages a week, the update schedule will be two pages every Monday.

Moving
Haha don't be fooled I actually just got done moving. Hopefully this means that the updates will be picking up again but, frankly, I'm not entirely sure.
Unfortunately school starts up again soon - and I am also going to be getting a new job. Therefore, I don't know how much time I'll have, but I swear to you that there will be updates every Monday even if I have to do a crapload of minicomics.

Minicomics!
I say mini but the first one is eleven pages and the second one is seven!
Anyway, the first minicomic, "Christmas '08", takes place the year before the events of Raventown and is, basically, backstory. The second one, "Yugoslavian Socks", takes place in the year 2019 - about ten years after the events of Raventown. Both focus on Clark and Leland(naturally) but you do get to see a few other characters, such as Ing and their mother and the band Clark eventually plays in.
Yugoslavian Socks will probably be posted this time next week, assuming everything goes as planned, but Christmas '08 will be up tomorrow after I return to San Diego. I will probably post them on tumblr, so I'll provide links here.

Next update
Will probably be next Friday. I have finals coming up and probably won't be able to work on it too much.
On the bright side if everything goes according to plan you'll get two pages. This is because the week after next I'm going to be up in Riverside without photoshop and busy visiting my dad and my sister! Whilst I am there I will try to draw some extra things.

Things are pretty crazy here lately. Nothing's definite at this point, but I'll let you guys know the Big Stuff soon because it'll probably result in a - hopefully very brief - hiatus.

Doing things differently
So the real reason I haven't been working on Raventown(aside from a shitload of interference from my personal life) is that I actually really dislike working digitally. I don't mind messing around with it, but creating actual comics just doesn't feel right.
THEREFORE I will be switching to a traditional medium. Right now I'm working on chapter 1 and hope to have something up by January. Sorry about the hiatus bullshit. Since I'm not very far along in the story, I think it shouldn't take too long, but let's not hold our breath.
IN THE MEANTIME I'm also going to do a Christmas comic to tide you over, so keep an eye out for that.
